The Following: Just ignore the story and go explore, after unlocking the buggy. In main game, avoid progressing to Airdrop's climax (racing for airdrops), or use that first night period during Airdrop for persistent night ) Instead of andvancing storylines, take a breather and make ues of persistent daylight periods to explore more easily (Prior to climax of Airdrop for main campaign and bandits at Pumping Station in The Following). Spawns change after finishing First Assignment and ruins this location. On Nightmare mode, zombies move faster, so it is rather productive for Agility and Power farming at low level. Meanwhile, one of the most productive shock traps is located just down the street. This saves a lot of farming for crafting supplies. Just approach close enough to initiate dialogue. Perform quit/load cycles repeatedly for more firecrackers. Go to the pair of cars which need traps set for Spike, but don't activate them. They are much easier to farm without support troops. Upon revisit, only the Volatiles may respawn. Now, for the good part…ĭie, respawn, exit safehouse STAT, return to bridge. Next, exit the safehouse area STAT, since time should freeze unless in safe zones. Drop out, and upon reload, it should be night time (even before Airdrop is played). Special mention for Outfit weapons (paid DLC), which are still among my favorite owned items: Ranger Bow, Volatile Hunting Knife, Marksman Rifle, Volatile Hunting Baton (exploit version).īow and knife for the damage, rifle for the sights, baton because I love fiddling with sexploits.īefore speaking to Spike at the end of First Assignment, join someone's game during a night period. ![]() ![]() In post game, I've begun collecting Gold/Yellow, but even on Nightmare, I never needed them… the Legendary/Orange were more than enough. Military checkpoints and camoflauged containers are some of my favoites for looting. But at low level, all the Weapon Upgrades are welcome. It may be level dependant, but I've harvested quite a few King upgrades without ever advancing storylines. There are a ridiculous number of Police Vans and containers, many are lightly or unguarded, and the buggy helps decrease travel time between them. Load into the DLC map via menu, collect blueprints, harvest crafting supplies, and look for Weapon Upgrades in Police Vans and containers. Note: Many items are locked by quest/progression, so completing the game is a great way to access valuable items. The Ranger Bow does more damage, but costs real world money.Ī blueprint for explosive arrows would be invaluable, but it (and Bozak Bow) may not be attainable for new character and player.Ĭomplete the main story, which unlocks the Bounty Boards to collect rewards, such as previously unavailable weapons.Īfter the end credits, just continue instead of creating a new game or NG+. None of the weapons are retained, but dockets and blueprints are. Why? At certain checkpoints, a docket is awarded. Read the OP to learn where and how to do all this and it is probably best to wait until Survivor level 25. If any are still active, they will be recently added to thread, otherwise wait for new ones. Save the weapon durabilty for those bass turds, and soften them up with AoE attacks and supplies that make them more vulnerable, like Conducting Liquid. Of course, there will be times this doesn't funciton, since the enemies are immune. So im guessing your still in the early levels of the game.Īt low level and with those damage ratings you mention, it is better to go for instant kills, rather than pounding away at them. Well you said your weapons do 200+ damage which is very low(end game is about 1-2K unmodded). I have what seems to be very good gear because Im always looting and stuff, even weapons I get from side quests are trash. ![]() Ive gotten many blueprints and made multiple new weapons, most of which are purple and some of which are gold. Zombies in the beginning are tanky as hell making combat annoying and tedious, but at higher level you can wade through them like its dead rising. ![]() If you stay on top of looting for new weapons THE REVERSE should happen. So the weapons that WERE strong, become weak as you level up leading to your problem now. See, as survivor skill increases so does zombie HP AND weapon damage. If that is the case then you simply need to open a few chests, find a good weapons and mod that weapon.
